Qualifications:

Must have Associates degree inPhysical Therapist Assistant

Must have statelicensure/registration

Must be able to perform jobaccording to physical specifications

Must be able to workindependently and meet productivity guidelines

Essential Functions:

Adheres to the Standards ofPractice, Code of Ethics, and State Practice Act of the profession of PhysicalTherapy.

Demonstrates awareness of andsensitivity to patients’ rights and ethical/legal issues in all interaction.

Utilizes effective and courteousworking relationships with all co-workers, patients and family members.

Readily adapts to a changingenvironment.i.e.:staffing, assignments, documentation requirements.

Follows facility policies in theprovision of care and services to the residents ofHoliday Resort adhering to State andFederal regulations.

Demonstrates proper use of gaitbelt and utilizes proper back safety techniques and lifting/transfertechniques.

Follows Resident’s Rights and HIPAAregulations concerning resident information.

Promotes and maintains aprofessional image and conforms to dress code.

Attends work in accordance withattendance policy demonstrating dependability and reliability.

Attend all required trainingsessions and in-services.

Identifies safety hazards andemergency situations and initiates corrective action and reports to supervisor.

Work under the direction of thePhysical Therapist.

Initiate and complete screens asappropriate.

Modify treatment procedure inaccordance with changes in patient status.

Notify Physical Therapist whenmodifications to a plan of care are necessary for an effective treatmentprogram.

Notify Physical Therapist ofchanges in patient’s/client’s medical status.

Respond to inquiries regardingpatient status to appropriate parties within the protocol established byPhysical Therapist.

Notify Physical Therapist tointerpret data beyond the assistants scope of practice.

Analyze ideas and use logic todetermine a patient’s/client’s strengths and weaknesses.

Submits documentation and billingin a timely, legal and ethical manner in accordance with currentpolicy/procedures.

Identify problems and reviewinformation provided by the multidisciplinary staff.

Must meet productivityrequirements.
